have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

i'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.
i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.
Welcome! I LOVE seeing new people here! Keep on reading and you'll be ok.
This group has members with ALL SORTS of beliefs and non-beliefs. Some still believe in God. Some do not. As for finding the 'true' organization, there isn't one. God doesn't need one. The scripture isn't, "where shall we go away to?" but rather "to whom shall we go to?" and the answer is Jesus himself. He isn't an organization of men or a corporate body. Non-conformity is OK. Uncomfortable at first but you'll grow to accept that God doesn't want everyone to be exactly the same.
i need to speak to anyone who is a mature christian.
someone who has maintained their faith in jehovah and in christ jesus.
i have felt that many things i have been taught are inconsistent for some time.
Welcome. I hope you find hope and comfort as you continue in your search for truth. It is good that you are reading In Search of Christian Freedom but you would also be well served by reading Crisis of Conscience as soon as possible, too.
As one who has been where you are, I would encourage you not to say ANYthing about your questions or doubts. Voice them here, where you will be welcome and get them off your chest safely.
Stick with the quest for freedom of mind and REAL accurate knowledge and you will be fine.
being the society is anti-hypnosis, i know very little about it.
but from what i've observed it often involves willing participants focusing their concentration, usually involving repetition, until the subject is in a state where suggestions can be implanted in their mind.
bite can involve hypnosis, but in many instances it may not.
This is interesting. It is the full article from one of darth frosty's links:
To be clear, I'm not endorsing this guy's far-out religious ideas (that normal healthy people literally hear voices of God for example), just noting that it's an interesting article and the hypnosis stuff might be worth further exploration.
topics will be jwsurvey.org and the role of women in the borg.

mary: what's evolution?.
me: well it's kinda complicated.
they think plasma gave birth to monkeys which gave birth to humans.
The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins is really more the speed for most folks without science background, IMO. I sure liked it and understood it better than some of the heavier books on the topic of science, myth, and reality (which includes evolution).
for active jws, what would happen if they missed the memorial?
guilt-trip from the elders?
why isn't it a disfellowshipping offense since it is stressed to be of vital importance to attend?.
IF you believe the Borg line on exactly what the Memorial is, there is absolutely NO reason for any NON anointed to attend. It is entirely for the anointed and there is no mention of observers in the Bible.
It is yet another control mechanism from the Watchtower.

It is at moments like these that I wish hell was real.
am i missing any updates.
I found that young JW ladies were every bit as attractive as "worldly" girls. The vast majority didn't gain their extra 100 pounds until after they got married.
